The Centre’s concern for the adverse effects of socioeconomic inequality on health status and health care drives its research, teaching, training, policy advocacy and development. Our work brings into sharp focus the inclusion of marginalised communities into health systems and visions of care.

 The Centre’s multi-disciplinary team draws upon basic training in the social sciences, development studies, public health, medicine, demography, social work and management to develop and apply innovative approaches to its portfolio of work with interesting results.
